The Warrior Group Unveiled
The latest chapter finished on a major cliffhanger and presented the initial group of heroes who will separate from the central cast to undertake their separate journey, distinct from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team includes the determined fighter (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (the cast member), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).
Why Split the Party?
With a large ensemble, it was obvious from the outset that having everyone at a single group would be impossible.
This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, intertwining the personal journeys before dividing into three separate parties: Fighters, Strategists, and Seekers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for participants who enjoy a typically action-packed battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are scarce.
Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might seem unsuited, but the developments of the third episode show why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Motivations for Departure
For one thing, the group knows exactly where to proceed after a violent opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose demise initiated the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, invading Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting Thimble, and swiping all the magical artifacts to auction.
Casimir then cleared his liabilities and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each member has a individual motive to exit the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as the companion and trusted friend, seeks vengeance.
- Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and cautions that it is a nasty environment.
- The strong character and The cleric, having resisted his house’s orders to eliminate the target and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
- But, their position as prominent individuals in the influential clan could enable the team reach places they usually can’t.
- Moreover, Teor swore a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his rescue and will now follow him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Lastly, all of them are wanted by the powers that control the setting for a multiple motives, making staying in the city dangerous:
- Thimble and The hero are notorious outlaws.
- Tyranny and The healer defied House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
- Teor is targeted for elimination by the clan.
This means them few options but to journey toward the northern region in search of the traitor.
